Authors also do not receive any financial compensation for published materials. The exception is selected projects carried out at UKSW, in which the terms of fees or compensation are specified separately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Publishing House ensures:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Independence of editorial decisions. Decisions regarding the acceptance of a publication for publication by the Publishing House are made solely on the basis of scientific merit, alignment with the profile of the Publishing House\/series\/journal, and the outcome of the peer review. The source of funding and cost considerations do not influence the editorial decision or the outcome of the peer review.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Equal treatment of authors regardless of gender, origin, beliefs, or affiliation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confidentiality of the <a href=\"https:\/\/wydawnictwo.uksw.edu.pl\/en\/standards-and-policies\/review-procedure\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/wydawnictwo.uksw.edu.pl\/en\/standards-and-policies\/review-procedure\/\">review process<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transparency of publication policies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Protection of copyright.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Counteraction of all forms of scientific misconduct.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Information on costs. If the publication requires external funding or co-funding, the author will be informed of the guidelines and required documents. The cost estimate covers expenses related to the preparation of the publication (e.g., editing, proofreading, typesetting, printing, distribution) in accordance with the applicable procedures of UKSW and the Publishing House.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No paid expedited processing. The Publishing House does not use a \u201cfast track\u201d model nor does it offer to expedite the publishing process in exchange for a fee. The timeline of the process depends on the production workload, the completeness of the materials, and the progress of the review process.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Funding. The rules for applying for funding for publication, application deadlines, and required forms are published in the \u201cAuthors\u201d section.
